Thanks for taking the time to read this. If you know me, chances are you know Azula, too. We've been inseparable since she came home with me nearly 12 years ago. Azula is my best friend, and let's be honest, the best dog in the whole world. She deserves the best.

Unfortunately, we've been dealing with recent health issues, and navigating her care with limited financial resources has been incredibly challenging. I'm reaching out to ask for your help to make sure Azula gets the care she needs.

For the last two weeks, Azula has had irregular bowel movements. She doesn't appear to be in any pain, and she is still eating and drinking normally, which are all positive signs. But chronic diarrhea in dogs often indicates something more serious. We did a series of tests at the vet and found that she had slightly elevated pancreatic enzymes and very elevated liver enzymes. I was advised to keep her on a bland diet of chicken, rice, and pumpkin, and if nothing had changed, to bring her back for additional tests and upgrade to prescription dog food. The tests we've done so far have drained my savings, and we are in need of your help to move forward with further testing. I've broken down the costs below based on estimates from our vet. At this point, anything at all is helpful as it will help us to do more bloodwork and keep an eye on her liver levels. Ideally, I'd like to be able to take her for an ultrasound to find out if there are any tumors/masses that could be causing her issues.

Prescription Diet Costs (Chicken, rice, pumpkin and Hill Digestive Care Kibble): $100/week x 4 weeks: $400

Ultrasound: $800 (completed 4/2)

Additional bloodwork: $300 (per draw)

X-ray: $400

Advanced Fecal Test: $310 (completed 3/27)

Probiotics: $65 (last purchased 3/27)

Total costs: $2275

The overall goal of $4000 is to cover any additional treatments Azula might need once we have a diagnosis. I will be sure to update this Gofundme with additional costs/estimates as I become aware of them.
