About Azariah
Azariah grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the Marine Corps. He was stationed all over the world, including a combat tour in Afghanistan. Azariah started his powerlifting journey in 2013 while stationed in Japan, along with training other military personnel and playing professional rugby. After serving eight years, he returned home to start school and get a history degree. While in school, he worked at several gyms as a personal trainer. He started competing for the United States Powerlifting Association in 2019 as a Classic Raw lifter. In 2022, he became a USPA Certified Coach and started an all-female powerlifting team. His team grew and has racked up dozens of state, national, and world records. In 2023, he became a state-level referee and recently in 2025 was promoted to national-level referee. In mid-2024, he opened up his own gym, Demigod’z Powerhouse. Azariah spends his time coaching powerlifters, training clients, and being an advocate for mental health with veterans. Azariah is also a proud father of an amazing eight-year-old son who also wants to powerlift just like his dad.
Azariah's Powerlifting Accomplishments:

Being invited to be part of Team USA is amazing, but getting to Argentina is expensive. Azariah needs your help to make it happen. Expenses include flight, lodging, transportation while in Argentina, entry fees, equipment, and food. Donating will allow an athlete to compete at the highest level in the sport.
