Az, Bella’s nephew, suffered a serious injury on the river this weekend, breaking four vertebrae. For someone who loves being outdoors and staying active, this sudden change has been incredibly difficult. Az now faces 12 weeks in a brace, unable to move much or enjoy the activities that bring joy to his life. This injury will also affect Az as he starts the new school year, making it impossible for him to participate in ROTC and track and field—two activities he is passionate about and looks forward to every year.
The road to recovery is challenging, both physically and emotionally, for Az and his family. To help ease the burden, funds raised will go directly to Az’s dad to cover medical costs and any needs that arise during Az’s recovery. This support will help ensure Az gets the care and comfort he needs while his family navigates this unexpected situation. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference for Az and his loved ones.
Bella and Az’s family are deeply grateful for any kindness and support. Please consider sharing Az’s story to help his family during this difficult time. Your generosity and encouragement mean so much as Az works toward healing and getting back to the activities he loves.
