My name is Ay.Yon Michaels, and I am reaching out in the most desperate time of my life. My one-year-old son, Nehast Aaeon Michael Rudison, was born on Juneteenth 2024. After the tragic passing of his mother in October 2025 while she was living in the Virgin Islands, my world was turned upside down. I was unaware that her ex-partner was there with her and her other children until after her passing. In the aftermath, he took all of the children—including my son—and has refused to return Nehast to me. To make matters worse, he changed my son’s name, making it impossible for me to find him through official records.
Since then, I have faced threats, harassment, and complete isolation from my son’s maternal family, who have been convinced not to speak to me. The man now caring for my son has taunted me online and his partner has harassed me directly. Despite bringing evidence to the authorities, I was told to go to court. I have tried every avenue—pro bono legal services, vital records, and even the courts themselves. Each time, I have been turned away or told to file more paperwork. When I tried to rescue my son myself, I was met with criminal charges and now face a legal battle just to prove my paternity and bring my son home. I am currently out on bond, fighting for the chance to be a father to my own child.
This ordeal has devastated my life and my livelihood. I am asking for help to cover the legal fees required to fight for my son’s return and to help me recover from the financial and emotional toll this crisis has taken. Your support means everything to me and to Nehast. I pray that no one else has to endure what I am going through, and I am deeply grateful for any help you can offer.
