Help Aysun, Orkun and Kids Rebuild After Palisades Fire
Donation protected
Dear friends and community,
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support for my brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Orkun and Aysun Kilic, whose home was tragically destroyed in the recent Palisades fire. Orkun and Aysun are loving parents to two wonderful children, a boy and a girl, and this devastating loss has left them with a long road ahead to rebuild their lives.
For years, they have called the Palisades community home, living in what was once an idyllic neighborhood. This was the place they brought both of their children home from the hospital, and it holds so many precious memories for them. Sadly, their home has been destroyed and the children's school was seriously damaged by the fire and is also shut down. The kids are understandably struggling with the loss and the huge changes in their lives.
There is one small, but incredibly meaningful story that stands out from the devastation: In their backyard, there was a wooden bench that was the true heart of their home. It was a place where Aysun’s maternity pictures were taken, and gatherings at their house always ended with family photos in front of this bench. It was a symbol of warmth, love, and togetherness. Miraculously, amid all the destruction, the bench is the one thing that still stands, along with their white picket fence. It’s a beautiful symbol of hope in the midst of this tragedy.

The funds raised here will be used to help Aysun and Orkun pay to rebuild their home as insurance will only be covering a fraction of the cost to rebuild and help them get back on their feet. More than anything, they need the love and support of their community to help them navigate this painful chapter.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a huge difference in their lives. Please consider helping Aysun, Orkun, and their children during this difficult time. Your kindness and generosity will mean the world to them as they begin to heal and rebuild.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support.
With gratitude,
Ashley
