“All my dreams have become a magazine,” - Ayman Hajjaj.
Peace be upon you, my name is Amy and I’m based in Ireland. I’m raising funds to support Ayman from Gaza to reach his $10,000 goal to build a room for his family and provide food. He is facing urgent needs and any contribution, big or small, will go directly toward helping him through the Forlenso app. I truly appreciate your kindness and support.
Ayman’s message to you:
In Gaza…
Life isn't measured in years,
but in the five times a person is forced to rise from nothing… or less.
I am Ayman Abu Hajjaj…
A young man who lived a simple life with his loved ones,
in a small house… but it was our whole world.
We laughed there, we were together, we dreamed…
We had “security”… and that was the most precious thing we had.
But in a single moment…
Everything disappeared.
There was no longer a house to return to,
no burden,
nothing to bring us together.
We became… without a maid.
Me… my father… my mother… my siblings,
The lines of the day in a tent.
A tent that doesn't resemble the life we created.
At night…
We sleep and ignore the work that consumes our bodies,
and the sound of the wind that frightens my younger siblings.
My little sister asks every night:
“When will we go back to our house?”
And I have no answer… a painful silence. …
She tries to appear strong in front of us,
I see her crying silently,
She fears for us… but no longer protects us as she used to.
My father…
The man who was our support,
I've become vulnerable in the face of this reality,
We live with eyes full of sorrow,
And he must apologize because he can't enjoy security.
As for me…
I used to dream of completing my education,
Of building my future,
Of raising the bar for my career.
But today…
All my dreams have become a magazine,
And all I think about is:
How will we eat?
How will we get by?
How will we protect anything from this harsh reality?
No source of income…
No job…
No home…
Just the end of the day.
We're not looking for luxury…
Or a life of extravagance…
We just want basic necessities.
I wish for a safe place to take shelter,
And we want a chance that won't start over.
I write these words…
And I have only one hope:
That they reach someone who understands us.
Someone decided not to let this story pass by unnoticed,
but rather to take a specific action…
And it was the reason for the family's complete downsizing.
Your donation…
The visitors were simple,
It could mean so much to us.
It could provide us with new food,
A blanket for us,
Or even steps to renew our lives.
Don't leave us alone in this situation…
Be the reason for restoring hope after everything has been lost…
Except hope in God… and in good people.
I am Ayman…
And this isn't just a story…
This is my life… and the life of my body.
