We are requesting support for our sweet Ayla, who is only 4 years old. She became sick after her brothers had the flu and at first, we thought she was dealing with the same thing… but her symptoms kept getting worse. By the time we realized what was happening, Ayla’s appendix had already perforated.

She had to undergo emergency surgery and spent over a week in the hospital because the surgeon said her case was so severe. Since coming home, Ayla has had to return several times due to complications. It’s been scary and exhausting, and she is still not completely out of the woods. There is a strong possibility she will need more medical care and procedures as she continues to recover.

On top of the emotional toll, the medical bills have been overwhelming, surpassing $65,000, far more than anyone could have imagined… especially right before Christmas. No family ever expects something like this, and it’s been a lot to carry all at once.
