The two comedians above are Sara and Ayla. Sara, on the left, has been my friend for a lot of years going all the way back to my bellydance days, and is an amazing artist, dancer/choreographer, mom, and human person. Ayla, on the right, has tortietude. She’s grumpy and sour and says “I love you” by biting your finger. But she and Sara are soulmates of a sort. Sara would do anything for Ayla, and truth be told, I’m pretty sure the feeling is mutual.

Now, though, it looks like Ayla has cancer. Her family has already been quoted $3200 for diagnostics alone, and it’s not going to get less expensive as time goes on.

I know how important Ayla’s comfort and health are to Sara and the whole family. They all love Ayla and want to make sure she gets whatever she needs as she battles this disease.
