Help Aya's Family Find Safety and Healing

Hello, everyone. Circumstances have changed, so we are updating the full story. Please read below.

My name is Muhammad. I am 19 years old, and I am from Gaza. My wife, Aya, and I live in a camp near Deir al-Balah in Southern Gaza with our baby, and Aya's brother. I have many dreams that I want to achieve, most importantly to secure a future for my wife and our little girl Manal. Manal was born in Al-Kharb in the first months of the war, and we faced all the challenges of war with our newborn.

We have lost everything, including our jobs, and as a result our way of supporting ourselves. We are collecting and selling firewood to sustain ourselves, which comes at a risk. There are no other means of work available to us. Muhammand transfers as much as possible, but the prices on goods are very high-- diapers alone are priced at $70. Our family is fighting to survive the famine that is everywhere.

In addition Aya's older brother was injured in North Gaza and underwent multiple unsuccessful surgeries without anaesthesia. He has been granted an opportunity to travel to Egypt for surgery, but we need the crossing fees in order to go with him.

Our main goald of having a fundraising campaign is to build a safe life for our young family. We will need, at minimum, $10,000 to cross the border and into Egypt. That does not account for the funds we need to buy immediate items such as clothing for winter, diapers and formula for Manal, food, and medication. We will require additional funds in order to secure housing and to provide for ourselves whenever we can safely evacuate.

All funds received until now have been transferred and used towards goods we needed for daily life. It is possible the goal will need to be increased if we ever achieve it.

Thank you for your time and consideration in reading this.

Sincerely--
Muhammad, Aya, baby Manal, and Manal's uncle Muhammad
