My name is Tiffany Duncan, and I have raised my three children by myself with very little to no help. I have worked hard to ensure my children had everything they needed. I had the pleasure of watching my youngest two children graduate high school in May 2025. My son, a 16-year-old graduate, was accepted as a student at Georgia State, where he will attend in the fall as a computer science major. My daughter, Miss Redan High School, Principal List and Principal Awards Recipient, CCE Scholarship recipient, accepted participant in the Navigate Foundation Culinary Internship program, and accepted student at Johnson and Wales - Charlotte, where she is currently attending as a culinary major.
While serving as Miss RHS at her school, my daughter has continuously given back, helped her classmates, and even planned and executed a mental health event for her peers called "Hear My Voice," where everyone was able to receive mental health journals from a partnering mental health nonprofit. The school she is attending ,Johnson and Wales, is a private university, and their culinary program is #3 in the nation, but the tuition alone is $47,000. With housing and other associated costs and fees, her bill is over $60k. Deducting all scholarships, loans, and financial aid, we still owe a balance of a little more than $20k. We are asking for help so that she can follow her culinary dream because with all I have already paid for both my children this year, I've become financially strained. I usually never ask for help; I just figure it out. However, with having two children who graduated and are attending college this year, it is a lot. This world isn't set up for children who come from households like mine or that look like us to succeed. Ayanna has worked so hard, and she deserves all that she desires because not only is she a remarkable student but an exemplary human being that everyone falls in love with the moment they meet her. Her and I both thank you all for your support!
