I am Aya Moin, a 20-year-old Palestinian living in Gaza. I hope to be one of the survivors of this genocide.
I studied at Gaza Training College (GTC) second year, majoring in Business and Office management. I received a full scholarship because I got a high grade in Tawjihi. I had hopes of finishing my diploma studies and being able to work to study a bachelor’s degree, but on 7 Oct 2023, my dream stopped and became impossible, and my university was destroyed.
- This is what remains of Aya's street.
I am now lost in my dreams, which have become impossible under these circumstances. My life has been completely destroyed. Dreams, hopes, and my home. Everything has been stuck for more than 10 months, and our future is unknown. During this period, our only hopes are of obtaining food and flour.
But I have not given up. I want to regain my life with your support and be able to travel to complete my education, achieve my dream, and survive from this blind war. To do this, I need your support.
-From Christa:
My name is Christa Robinson and I am a graduate student at Michigan State University. I have gotten to know Aya Moin, age 20, over the last several months. She is very heartfelt and determined. She is one of many young Palestinians who have been displaced, separated from their family and friends, and forced to grow up too soon. She is in Deir Al-Balah and will use the funds to meet her basic needs, like food and water, shelter, and clothing. Once her basic needs have been met, she will save towards achieving her dream of an education. I will collect funds on Aya's behalf and transfer them to her via PayPal.
