Help Aya Restore Her Life and Home

Hello! My name is Faranak, I live in the United States. I’m raising money for Aya Basam in Gaza, who has lost her two young sons, and entire family. Due to the ongoing war, Aya’s house has extensive damage. This has left her home unsafe & uninhabitable. Aya is an architect by profession, however unable to work due to the devastating circumstances. She needs a new roof, and money for her basic living expenses.

Aya, 28, once lived a life she loved & cherished. She was married, with two beautiful sons, Youssef, 10, & Ahmed, 7. As any parent, her children were her world. In addition to losing her children & husband, Aya has lost both of her parents & brothers too. She has been left alone in the world. With only memories of their smiles as she walks through her now destroyed home as a constant reminder.

Aya has endured more pain and loss, than most of us can bear to ever imagine. While, grieving the darkest of her days. Aya has been left with no means of income & no family to turn to for support. It has been only through concerns of her neighbors and community, she receives any food & water. Aya often wonders, how she will ever survive this nightmare she calls reality.

As she is surrounded by the war torn conditions of Gaza, she holds onto her faith that maybe some of her prayers will be answered. Most people, at some point rely on the compassion of others to help them through a challenging time. Sometimes, it has been the hand of a stranger that has made the difference between life & death.

We are calling out to all the generous & kind-hearted people of the world to help give Aya a new roof & to fix the massive destruction in her home. To raise money for Aya to meet her basic living needs. Giving Aya hope that there is a better future ahead. All funds raised will be given to Aya for these goals.
