Hello everyone, my name is Ahmad and I am Lebanese - based in the UK and in Leeds. I am organising this fundraiser to support my friend Aya Taleb in raising funds to afford her daily expenses amid the genocide and humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Find me on Instagram at ahmad.ammash96 and find Aya at thisisaaya1.
I will be collecting raised funds using my HSBC UK bank account and will then transfer them to the Bank of Palestine bank account owned by Aya's brother.
Please feel free to contact me for any inquiries.

Here is her story:
Hello, my name is Aya from Gaza City. My family and I were forcefully displaced by the Zionist occupation. Currently, my family and I live in a tent. I had many ambitions and dreams that I was about to achieve, but unfortunately, I am from Gaza. My house, which my father built with love and effort, was bombed and completely destroyed. We had only lived in it for two years.
My place of education, my books, my dreams, my memories, my ambitions, and everything I aspired to reach, no longer exists. All I have left is a tent in which I and my family live, which does not protect us from the cold or bombing. It's outdoors.
We sleep there and wait for death to come every moment and night. I wake up and find myself wet from rainwater, and I can't feel my limbs because of the extreme cold. This is why we always suffer from illness, as there is no food except a little canned food, and the food does not satiate or satiate hunger, and it is unhealthy.
My family and I have been displaced 12 times, each time to a place worse than the previous one, and each of us suffers from extreme fear, constant anxiety, thirst, and suffering that I cannot describe in any word or line because of that. A painful and bitter reality that we were forced into. Our reality in Gaza makes stones and trees cry, and everyone with a conscience is still alive. I hope you can help me so that my family and I can survive and leave Gaza as soon as the Rafah crossing opens.
I want to thank you in advance for your generosity - from the bottom of my heart.
