Help Aya Ghanem and her family fight to survive in Gaza

Donation protected
My name is Aya, I’m 27 years old, and I’m from Gaza. I hold a degree in Journalism and Media.

Since the war began, I’ve lost everything—my job, my future, and any sense of safety. I now live with my family under constant bombing, facing fear and the complete collapse of basic living conditions.

We are being deliberately starved. There is no access to food, water, or the basic essentials of life. It feels like there’s a systematic effort to starve the population here. Children go to sleep crying from hunger, and adults are helpless. We search for anything to eat and often find nothing. And when something is available, it’s either inedible or unaffordable.

My father is diabetic, and his health is deteriorating. My mother has undergone several surgeries and needs constant care. As for me, I had surgery for a slipped disc and still require ongoing medical treatment. Due to my condition, I can’t move easily or relocate, and living in tents is simply not an option for me.

During all these, I separated from my husband, adding these challenges to the journey of my life. Being a woman on the verge of divorce in Gaza, at a time when crises are erupting from every side, makes me feel like I'm facing a double battle.

But despite all the difficulties, I continue to hold on to hope for my family. Life in Gaza is not easy, but I believe that we deserve a better life, a life filled with safety and stability, away from wars and pain?? Every day is a fight for survival. We are doing our best to hold on, but life has become unbearable. We've lost all sense of safety and stability, and even the most basic needs are no longer available.

That’s why I’m launching this campaign — to ask for your help so that my family and I can leave Gaza, access the urgent medical care we need, and find a place where we can live in safety and dignity.

Every donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to hope, healing, and a life without fear.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who stands with us.
