Axel Rodriguez, my little cousin, was on his way with another cousin to visit his older brother, who works in the city to help support their family. They borrowed a motorcycle from a family friend, excited to see his brother after a long time apart. On their journey, the brakes on the motorcycle malfunctioned as they went into a turn, and they crashed into cows that had wandered onto the road. Axel lost consciousness and was rushed to the hospital, where doctors discovered his leg was severely fractured. Since the accident, I’ve been doing everything I can to help Axel and our family in Honduras, but it’s been difficult with just me and my little brother trying to support him from afar.
Axel is still a kid who should be out running, playing soccer, and enjoying life, but now he faces a long road to recovery. He needs more surgeries and therapy to help him walk again, and the costs are overwhelming for our family. On top of the medical expenses, Axel’s family struggles with daily living needs, and even getting transportation to the hospital is a challenge in their small town.
All the funds raised will go directly to Axel’s medical care, transportation, and, if possible, to help with food and clothes as he recovers. Any support you can give would mean the world to Axel and our family. Thank you guys for your support. God bless you! I pray God repays you with much more for helping.
