Hi everyone, This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. My son Axel was born with CHARGE syndrome, a rare and complex condition that has affected him since birth. From the very beginning, our lives have revolved around hospitals, specialists, and doing everything possible to keep him safe. Axel has chronic lung disease and depends on oxygen support. Recently, we’ve had two terrifying hospital scares where he had complications with his breathing and stopped breathing. Those moments are something no parent is ever prepared for. Since then, I’ve spent countless nights awake, watching him closely, afraid of missing even a second if something goes wrong. Caring for Axel is constant and around the clock. Between his medical needs, appointments, and frequent trips for care—including traveling to Nashville—I haven’t been able to work. Every bit of my time and energy goes into making sure he is okay. While trying to hold everything together and care for him, the bills started falling behind. Rent, utilities, and basic living expenses have piled up faster than I could manage, and now we are facing the possibility of losing our home. The thought of Axel not having a safe, stable place—especially with his condition—is overwhelming. I’m asking for help to cover: Past-due rent, upcoming housing costs, utilities and essential bills. Anything you can give will go directly toward keeping a roof over our heads and allowing me to continue caring for Axel the way he needs.
