Hello to our wonderful community!

We’re Awaken A Cappella, Southern California’s first co-ed a cappella group. Awaken is truly a tight-knit family. Everything we do is rooted in uplifting and supporting our members both musically and personally.

We’ve been working especially hard to create meaningful development opportunities for our members. We recently had the incredible honor of preparing a workshop and masterclass with Deke Sharon (Pitch Perfect, Sing Off), giving Awaken the chance to learn from one of the most influential figures in a cappella.

We’ve also been pouring countless nights into rehearsals and intricate arranging sessions to achieve thrilling performance opportunities. Whether it’s at UCLA’s 2025 Spring Sing talent show, at a cappella showcases across California, or through building a very special 2026 ICCA set, we’ve found every chance to immerse ourselves in performing.

Looking ahead, we’re proud to announce that we’re building our 2nd annual UCLA Riff-Off, an event that brings together hundreds of students in celebrating music and spotlighting the UCLA arts community. The Riff-Off is entirely student-led and powered by our members’ dedication.

To our family, friends, alumni, and supporters: you are our cheerleaders. Your encouragement allows us to continue nurturing our incredible Awaken family.

Your support will go towards putting on an incredible Riff-Off, continuing to support musical development opportunities for our members, and helping to sustain the remarkable growth Awaken has achieved over the past 34 years.
