OUR STORY — TOLD BY AARON (FATHER) AND AVISHAG
My name is Aaron, father of six wonderful children. I have been by Avishag’s side every moment of her journey — from her early struggles with dilated cardiomyopathy, which first appeared when she was six months old, in a post-vaccination context, to the long and frightening months that led to her transplant. Being with her day and night, caring for her, supporting her, has been my full-time commitment.
Avishag now requires:
• Regular cardiology follow-up visits
• Daily medications and special nutrition
• Physiotherapy and rehabilitation to regain strength
• Psychological support to help her navigate this difficult period
• Private tutoring to help her catch up academically after falling behind due to her illness and long hospital stays
I have dedicated myself entirely to her recovery, sacrificing my job, my home, and all financial stability. I do it with love — she is my daughter — but I cannot meet all these needs alone anymore.
A MESSAGE FROM AVISHAG:
**_“Some days I feel strong, some days I feel scared. But my Aba is always with me. Your help gives me hope to recover, to regain my strength, and to live my teenage life like any other 14-year-old.”_**
