Hola, mi nombre es Alejandra, y quiero contarles sobre mi perrita Aviadora. Ella tiene 10 años y 8 meses, pero para mí sigue siendo la misma cachorrita que adopté cuando tenía apenas 4 meses.

El sábado pasado, Avi se escapó de casa por unos segundos. A solo una cuadra, la atropellaron. La persona que la chocó se fue sin mirar atrás, y fueron otras personas quienes me llamaron para avisarme. Corrí desesperada y la encontré herida, temblando y con los ojos llenos de miedo. Fue uno de los momentos más dolorosos de mi vida.

El golpe le fracturó su patita y posiblemente también le dañó la cadera, pero necesitamos más exámenes para confirmarlo. Lo que sí es seguro es que necesita una cirugía urgente para volver a caminar y dejar de sufrir.

Hoy me siento con el corazón en pedacitos porque quiero darle a mi niña la oportunidad de recuperarse, pero los costos médicos de la cirugía, medicamentos y cuidados son mucho más altos de lo que puedo cubrir sola.

Por eso estoy aquí, pidiendo ayuda. Si puedes donar, aunque sea un poquito, estarás dándole a Avi la oportunidad de seguir a mi lado, feliz y sin dolor. Y si no puedes donar, compartir esta campaña ya es un regalo enorme.

Hi, my name is Alejandra , and I’d like to share the story of my dog Aviadora. She is 10 years and 8 months old, but to me she is still the same little puppy I brought home when she was only 4 months old. Since then, she has been with me through my happiest and hardest moments. She is my companion, my joy, and truly a piece of my heart.

This past Saturday, Avi slipped out of the house for just a moment. Only one block away, she was hit by a car. The driver didn’t stop, but kind strangers called me to let me know. I ran as fast as I could and found her lying there, injured, trembling, and with fear in her eyes. It was one of the most painful moments of my life.

The accident left her with a broken leg, and her hip may also be damaged, though we need further exams to confirm. What is certain is that she needs urgent surgery to be able to walk again and, most importantly, to be free from pain.

Right now, my heart is broken because I want to give my girl the chance to recover, but the medical costs for surgery, medication, and care are far more than I can handle on my own.
