OK so I don't really know where to start so I'm just going to jump in... My name is Marti Carter and sadly on Friday my family suffered a tragic accident. My little sister, Murphys, son was viciously attacked by a dog with out warning or provocation. She was standing right next to her sweet baby when this happened and like any mother she sprang to action, shoving her arm in the dogs mouth, she suffered injuries of her own. Although she was only steps away and quick to act the damage was already done and her son, not even 2 yrs old yet was badly hurt. Avi was airlifted to Shands picu, where some amazing surgeons are taking very good care of him, however he has suffered severe facial trauma,it is going to be a long road to recovery for this sweet boy and its going to come at a high price. Avi's parents are struggling enough just trying to keep it together for him, let alone trying to keep up financially. No one one should have to go through what they are, coupled with having to struggle to bear the financial load that this is putting on them. They need to be close to their son and hotels and living expenses are racking up quickly. Avi is currently sedated and they dont know when they will be bringing him home, so these expenses are only going to continue to stack up. She never asks for help, but is always quick to offer her last dollar to anyone else and we are asking from the bottoms of our hearts, please if you can donate monetarily, do, but if you can't please offer a share to your page or a group you might know of, maybe even your church congregation or just a kind word and healing prayer.
