Help Avery's Medical Needs- Rare, Fatal Disorder

Hello, I'm Sheri Crown. I've organized this fundraiser for our great-granddaughter, 6-year-old Avery. She has been diagnosed with a rare disorder that has drastically impacted her and her family's lives.

 

Jessika and Nigel, Avery’s parents were given the sad news by doctors at Primary Children’s that Avery is suffering from Mucopolysaccharidosis type 3 (MPSIII) — a progressive disorder that attacks the brain and central nervous system. Avery's prognosis is grim. Children who have this genetic error show no signs at birth. As the disease progresses, they slowly lose the ability to speak, walk, and eat. There's no cure and Avery has the most serious form of the disorder, MPSIII type A.

 

 

Moneys donated will help with medical and other expenses, as well as travel. Jessika, Nigel and Avery must drive from Idaho Falls to Salt Lake City 1-2 times per month for appointments at Primary Children’s Hospital. Because of Avery's needs, Jessika must keep a constant eye on her. The only care they can provide is love, support, and spending as much family time as they can making precious memories.
