Six years ago, our family was given the most precious gift—the gift of life for our sweet Avery. Thanks to the incredible generosity of a donor family, Avery’s life was transformed. From a little boy facing impossible odds, he became a vibrant, joyful child—full of love, kindness, and an unbreakable spirit. He is our living, breathing superhero, defying every challenge with courage.
The Fight Continues:
When Avery got his first kidney transplant there was, unfortunately, damage to the new kidney from the start and Avery and his doctors have been fighting everyday to try to keep him and the new kidney alive. For 8 years, Jessica—Avery and Audrey’s mom—has been a relentless warrior. She has battled hospital policies, setbacks, and countless sleepless nights, all while advocating fiercely for Avery’s survival. She never gave up, even when the fight seemed unwinnable.
And now, after years of waiting, there is hope. Avery has been referred for a transplant in Oregon—a miracle we’ve prayed for since he returned to dialysis two years ago. But with this opportunity comes new challenges.
How You Can Help:
Jessica would never ask for help herself, so we’re asking for her. The family needs financial support to:
- Travel to Oregon for Avery’s transplant evaluation and surgery
- Secure housing for approximately six months during recovery
- Cover basic living expenses (food, utilities, necessities) so Jessica can focus solely on Avery’s care
For years, Jessica has sat in hospital rooms, watching monitors, waiting to hear if her son is okay—all while raising her daughter, Audrey. No parent should have to fight this battle alone.
Our goal is to raise $20,000 to ease the burden so Jessica, Avery, and Audrey can focus on healing, not financial stress. Every dollar will go directly toward housing, food, and essential needs during this critical time.
No One Should Fight Alone:
No mother should worry about where her family will sleep while fighting for her child’s life. Let’s come together to give Avery the best chance at a healthy future—and give Jessica the support she deserves.
Please donate and share Avery’s story. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings hope. Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
With love and gratitude,
Avery’s Family
