On Wednesday, 8/13/25, our world turned upside down. A fire broke out in our home, and within minutes, we lost nearly everything. I was at work at the time of the fire, but the kids all made it out safely, including our dog, Liam. The damage is severe, and nothing inside was salvageable.
I'm Avery, a mom to 6 amazing kids, ages 20, 17, 14, 12, 11, and 7. We are currently displaced, staying in a hotel, and trying to process how to start over from scratch.
We've lost our clothing, furniture, school supplies, important documents, food, and so many sentimental items that can never be replaced. The kids have just started school with new supplies and clothing. My oldest, who is on the spectrum, is starting his first semester in college, and we need to replace all of their essentials quickly while also trying to secure stable housing.
We are asking for your help to cover:
Temporary housing & basic bills
Clothing & shoes for the kids
School supplies and personal items
Food and daily necessities
Replacing furniture and household essentials
Every donation, big or small, means the world to us. If you can't donate, please consider sharing our story so we can reach more people. From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for helping us rebuild our lives after this tragedy.
