Hi, my name is Avery Smith, and I’m reaching out with hope and determination.

I was born with a learning disability and grew up in extreme poverty, but I refused to let my circumstances define me. With faith and perseverance, I earned my Bachelor’s in Social Work in 2022.

Now, I’ve been accepted into my top-choice Master of Social Work program in Connecticut, and I’m ready to take the next step toward becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My dream is to focus on trauma and mental health, giving a voice to those who feel unseen and unheard—especially within marginalized communities.

Why I need your help:

As a first-generation college student, I don’t have the financial support to cover tuition, textbooks, and living expenses while I complete this program. Every dollar raised will go directly toward funding my MSW education, allowing me to pursue my purpose of helping others heal and thrive.
