Hi everyone,
My name is Avery Moncey, and I’m so excited to share that I’ve been accepted to the University of San Diego (USD) as a transfer student—and I’ve officially made the dance team! This is a dream and I’m reaching out for support to help make it a reality.
For the past year, I’ve been attending community college while working multiple jobs to save money for this opportunity. I’m majoring in health care and currently volunteer at Scripps Hospital, where I get to support patients and see firsthand the power of compassionate care. Helping others has always been at the heart of who I am, and I’m deeply committed to a future in health care.
But another huge part of my dream has always been to dance in college. I’ve loved dance for as long as I can remember—it’s been my passion and a huge part of my identity. Making the USD dance team is something I’ve worked incredibly hard for, and it feels surreal to say that I did it.
Unfortunately, as many of you know, USD is a very expensive school. While I’ve saved what I can, I still need help to cover tuition and make this dream come true. Every single donation—no matter the size—will go directly toward my tuition and bring me closer to walking onto campus this fall, ready to study and dance.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading, sharing, and supporting me on this journey.
With gratitude,
Avery Moncey
