Avery is 12 years old and has spent the last year fighting Ewing’s Sarcoma — a rare and aggressive bone cancer. Through every round of chemotherapy, every hard day, and every moment she wanted to give up, one thing kept her going: horses. Avery never stopped riding. Even through treatment, she kept showing up to Coventry Farms, pulling on her boots, and getting in the saddle. Horses didn’t just bring her joy — they brought her back to herself when she needed it most.

Now, as Avery nears the end of her final round of chemo, we are starting to feel like we can look towards the future rather than just living cycle to cycle, and we would love to find Avery her heart horse — one that is safe for her and able to grow with her as she works toward her goals in local hunter shows. 

This isn’t just about a horse. For Avery, horses have been medicine. They have been hope on the hardest days. Owning one means she gets to carry that with her into whatever comes next — recovery, growth, and a future that finally gets to be about more than cancer.
