Hi there, friend! My name is Amie Welden, but this page is for my sweet twin daughters, Averie and Kailee.
Both girls have been selected to travel to Williamsport, PA, the home of Little League International, to participate in the Maria Pepe Little League Baseball Legacy Series. Only 96 girls are chosen nationwide to attend this once-in-a-lifetime event which takes place at the Little League World Series complex. The girls get to stay in the dorms, play 3 tournament games, and maybe even have the chance to meet Maria Pepe herself. This is a chance for girls to not only play together, but also see successful women in baseball as all the coaches and Umpires are female too!
A bit of a background on my girls. They started playing little league baseball with North Whidbey Little League in 2021. Since then, they have played every year and have gone on to represent NWLL softball at 2 All-Star Districts and then State Championship Tournaments in 2022 and 2024. They are a pitcher/catcher duo and absolutely love baseball and softball. How exciting for our small town little league ❤️
The girls are also straight A students at Oak Harbor Intermediate School where they participate in Robotics, Track and German Club.
I'm so excited for the opportunity these girls have been offered, but to make it happen we need to get them there. We are a one income household (all my "jobs" are volunteer) and flights to State College, PA are expensive. There would be 4 of us going as I would be accompanying them and my littlest would have to go with me. The girls are making trinkets, and growing veggie starts to sell, as well as picking up little odd jobs to do, but a go fund me was very highly recommended.
