Hi everyone, every since we started our band in 2014 we knew that we wanted a place where Coachella Valley musicians could feel at home playing something besides "Brown-Eyed Girl" for tourists (No knock on Van Morrison, "Brown-Eyed Girl" pays the bills around here). In 2022 that dream became a reality and we signed a lease on the new home of Little Street Music Hall.
We set out with the goal of creating a place where musicians of all ages, genres, and skill levels could come and feel welcome. The last 12 months have been a wild ride trying to make that happen. We are musicians and we have had to learn on the fly as we navigate real estate negotiation, building and code details, construction and remodel difficulties, and the business of juggling our live band, booking agency, and future venue.
The good news...
We are well on our way to opening. After many setbacks we have finally started construction and we are expecting to open in Springs of 2023! We have invested our savings as a band and played many parties, corporate gigs, and weddings to make this dream a reality. We can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
The other news...
We have had to make some hard decisions as we build out the venue. We decided to launch a coffee shop business inside the music hall to provide a place for people to relax during the day. We also had to adjust our buildout several times to make the space fit our needs.
All of this costs money.
Here's where you can help...
We have saved, invested, and borrowed what we needed all on our own dime and we have enough to get the space open! There are a few things we want to do that would really make the space special and so we're turning to you.
- Structure updates so we can increase capacity. We're limited in how many people we can have in the building until we make some adjustments and they are not cheap.
- Stage updates. We already have a great system but we want to create a lighting and sound experience that will be next level. Acoustic treatment, side-fill speakers, and lighting upgrades.
- Green room. We want to make gigging musicians feel like royalty. We've got a cool mini fridge and a couch but we want to add some extra touches that get bands pumped to play at the venue.
We've never asked for support like this before but we believe this project could change the music scene and we want you all to be part of it.
