Help Avani get to the Karate World Championships Japan 2025

Hi, my name is Avani and I am 8 years old. I joined my karate family 2 years ago. I’m excited to announce that I’ve been chosen to compete in the JSKA Karate World Championships in Japan on the 2nd and 3rd November 2025. This is a dream come true for me, and I’m so excited to go and be a part of the team, representing the UK.

So far, I have competed in 5 UK based competitions where I have won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in Katas (a sequence of moves practiced against an imaginary opponent) and Kumite (sparring against an opponent).

Not only is it an opportunity to showcase what I have learnt in Karate so far, but it is a once in a lifetime opportunity to visit the country where Karate began.

Unfortunately, competing at this level requires significant financial support. The total cost of attending the competition includes:

• Training and Competition fees: £570

• Travel and accommodation: £1200

• Uniform and expenses like food during the stay:

£150

I’m seeking to raise £750 to help me cover some of these expenses, and any contribution would be a huge help.

I’ve worked incredibly hard to reach this point, dedicating hours to training, improving my skills, and pushing myself to be the best athlete I can be. This competition will not only help me grow in my karate journey but also allow me to represent my community and inspire others who dream of pursuing their goals.
