Help Avalon Microsanctuary Move Into a New Building!

Over the past 4 years, Avalon Microsanctuary has been a home run small animal rescue that has primarily helped rabbits in the Portland metro area.

We have grown so much in the past 4 years, which has also come with new challenges along the way.

Running a growing rescue in a home environment has been a unique blessing that was only possible with the support of the community, but we have grown to the point of needing to move into a dedicated space, which is exactly what we have the chance to do in June 2025.

We are moving our rescue into a lovely building in the heart of the Portland area to keep helping the community through adoption, medical care, education, and rescue events.

This space not only acts as a permanent safe haven for rabbits in need, but also as one of the first dedicated central shelter spaces Portland has seen for helping rabbits.

They are the 3rd most common shelter animal, yet big shelters hardly help them at all in the way that rabbits need help in Oregon and Washington.

We are asking for community help for fundraising our move in costs, which is no small feat. We have a 4,800 dollar deposit to put down and a new stackable washer and dryer we need to purchase for the rescue on June 1. If you can contribute to these big ticket costs, it would mean so much to us.
