My name is Shelby and my Service Dog, Avalanche, was recently diagnosed with GOLPP. It's a neurological disorder that impacts the functionality of his back legs and trachea/windpipe. He's lost the ability to bark and his trachea will eventually need to be surgically tied back, when it collapses.
The Tie Back surgery will be $6,000 but is highly successful and normally adds years to a diagnosed dog's life... the alternate is to let him pass from asphyxia and I will fight, go into debt, and/or sell everything before I let that happen.
I don't like asking for help, but some incredible people on Instagram suggested I try this, so that I can afford to help my buddy.
He's been at my side, helping me for nearly 11 years (He figured out how to detect my seizures on his own), so I'm doing everything I can to help him.
Thank you so much for your time and any help.

You are all wonderful. Even just checking this page out boosts the chances someone will see it who can help. Thank you!
