Avril Parker, APRN, is a devoted mother of four, a loving spouse, and a compassionate caregiver who has dedicated her life to healing others. From a young age, Avril felt called to become a healer, a path that led her to earn her Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) degree from the University of Hawaii.
Throughout her career, Avril has focused on serving marginalized and underserved communities, always placing her patients' well-being first. She is known for her deep commitment to patient care—meticulously reviewing lab results and advocating for preventative screenings to catch illness early.
In living by the advice she gives her patients, Avril recently chose to undergo a routine colonoscopy due to her age, despite having no symptoms. It was during this screening that colon cancer was discovered.
Thanks to early detection, the cancer was surgically removed. However, Avril now finds herself in the unexpected position of needing healing herself. As we explore the next steps in her treatment journey, including possible additional therapies, the financial burden of medical and travel costs continues to grow.
Any support offered will go directly toward these expenses and will help ease the path forward for Avril and her family.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your kindness, generosity, and continued care during this challenging time.
With gratitude,
The Parker ʻOhana
