A trans couple in NC needs help paying for life-saving medical care for their dog, a very good boy named Blue.

Blue is a Golden Retriever, born in Florida in December of 2017. Now eight years old, Blue's parents, Ava and Eli, have built a beautiful home with him and for him. He has been with them through many of life's ups, downs, and transitions (literally).

He was even the ring-bearer at their wedding earlier this year!

This summer, Blue was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoma. Unlike many cases of this in dogs, Blue's prognosis is very serious. He is in lots of pain, struggling with breathing, and having adverse reactions to the ongoing rounds of chemotherapy that are keeping him well enough to spend a few more months with his family.

He still wants to chase his ball and steal socks, and doesn't seem to know how sick he is. He's a bright and loving boy for sure!

The life-saving treatment options that the vet has presented would cost well over $100k to implement. Instead, they just want to extend what time they have with him.

Ava and Eli are turning to friends, family, animal support organizations, and credit cards to keep him with them as long as they can -- hopefully through the end of the year -- but things are running dry.

They're reaching out to other organizations to help with the costs of chemo, but options are very limited. Every dollar helps Ava and Eli spend a little more time with Blue, The World's Best Boy (tm). Please help in any way you can!
