My name is Autumn, and I’m currently medically unable to work while waiting for disability approval. After being hospitalized with sepsis and pneumonia in my right lung, I developed pneumonia in my left lung shortly after. My immune system disorder, hypogammaglobulinemia, makes recovery slow and unpredictable, and it has left me without the ability to support myself financially.
I don’t have savings or a financial safety net. The people I live with have supported me for over a year while I’ve been sick, but I now owe them money they urgently need themselves. My son also helped me with a down payment on a car after mine was totaled, but the dealership kept the money and refuses to return it. I cannot afford legal action, and that loss has left me even further behind.
I’m asking for help so I can repay those who stepped in when I had no other options and reduce the financial strain my illness has placed on them. I am actively applying for work I can physically handle, but until disability is approved, I have no income. Any support—donations or sharing—would help me stay stable while I recover and wait for benefits.
How funds will be used:
- Repaying housing support from the people I live with
- Repaying my son for the car down payment - Basic living expenses while awaiting disability approval
