Help Autumn Pursue a Career in Diagnostic Medical Sonography

My name is Autumn, and I have just started my journey in pursuing my career in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasound Tech) at a medical trade school. It is a 27-month program and I will earn my bachelors degree in diagnostic medical sonography. I couldn’t be more thrilled to take this next step in my career and life.

How my decision to choose this career all started –

I had two friends that had been diagnosed with cancer, and I wanted to be there for them and help in any way that I could. From understanding what type of cancer, what stage, and what treatment they would need to undergo. How can I help them get through this difficult time, pain free? Thankfully they are healthy now and cancer free. It was at that moment; I realized I wanted to study to be an ultrasound tech to help capture images and assist doctors with finding various medical conditions ranging from expectant mothers to being able to detect cancer in its early stages and other medical concerns.

I currently work in the restaurant industry and will start school full-time in June, working evenings and attending school in the morning.

Since I am under the age of 24, I do not qualify as a dependent student, and I also do not qualify for financial aid or grants. I have saved money to go towards my tuition; however, it does not cover the entire program. That’s where you come in. Your generosity can help me achieve this life-changing goal. Any funds raised here will go directly toward my tuition.
