My name is Autumn, and I’m reaching out because I’m facing a really difficult time. I recently had a total knee replacement in my right knee, and my doctor says I won’t be able to work for the next 3-6 months while I recover. This has put me in a tough financial spot, and to make things even more stressful, my auto loan company just sent me a letter saying they can start the repossession process at any time. I’m terrified of losing my car, which is my lifeline right now.

My car is absolutely essential for me. It’s how I get to my doctor appointments, and it will be the only way I can get back to work once I’m able to start working again—hopefully sooner rather than later. While I’m recovering, my family members are able to drive me to my appointments, but without my car, I’d have no way to get the care I need or return to work when the time comes. Losing my car would make this already challenging situation so much harder.

I know this is the worst time to be asking for help, especially with the holidays right around the corner, and I completely understand that others may be struggling too.
