Help Autumn Doughty Fight Cancer!

Hello, My name is Talia Kenney and I have created this fundraiser to help a coworker fight cancer. Despite her circumstances, Autumn persists amidst one of life's cruelest battles. At just 22 years old, she faces each day with optimism and a smile. She is truly an inspiration.

A note from Autumn-

In August of 2022, my blood levels tanked causing concern for bone marrow disease. After a month of tests and a bone marrow biopsy, it was found that I had developed Myelodysplastic syndrome, a rare form of blood cancer, or pre-leukemia.

We tried one round of systemic chemotherapy... five excruciating days.

It worked temporarily but was going to cause bone marrow failure so the treatment needed to be stopped.

During a recent procedure, a tumor in my thyroid was discovered that has spread to my lymph nodes and possibly my bones. Surgery is scheduled for January 23rd to remove as much cancer as possible and at that time we will find out the type.

My only option is a lifesaving bone-marrow transplant. Typically I would be on a 6-12 month waiting list but luckily my older brother Brent is a match!

I have a long road ahead after surgery including systemic radiation and possibly chemotherapy.

I am way more comfortable on the giving end but I need help. Donations will be used to cover out-of-pocket medical costs, travel to appointments and clinical trials, medical supplies, and basic living expenses over the next several months.

I am so grateful for my brother and would like to help cover the cost of his flight ($1800). He is currently serving in the U.S. Army, stationed in South Korea. He will fly back on the 19th for his stem cell removal.
