Autumn's aunts are creating this GoFundMe on behalf of Autumn & Alfred to help with financial burdens such as medical expenses and funeral costs as they navigate through the grieving process.

Autumn & Alfred's Story of Sweet Elena-

"On March 31st, our sweet baby girl Elena Lynn Morales was born in our home at 5 PM.

Upon her delivery, Elena was unable to breathe despite my midwife's efforts to help her. She was transported to the hospital via ambulance with one of my midwives by her side and Alfred following shortly behind her.

After hours of the NICU working on Elena, we finally heard back from the doctor that she was unable to breathe on her own. The NICU used the maximum medical support available to keep Elena alive. She fought hard for 3 days.

Unfortunately, even with the oxygen support, she was too tired to continue. Thursday evening, I watched helplessly as her oxygen levels dipped below 50. Alfred and I had to quickly make the decision no parent ever thinks they will have to. Alfred gave me the greatest gift I could have asked for, and I was able to hold Elena during her last moments as we asked the nurse to remove her oxygen. As painful as it was to watch her pass away in my arms, I am so grateful she was able to feel held and loved as she went to the other side. I hope she could hear me when I told her it was going to be okay and we love her so much.
