Our daughter Autumn recently had her very first aqua/swim therapy session — and it was nothing short of amazing. She laughed, smiled, and moved in ways we haven’t seen in so long. The water gave her back pieces of herself we’ve deeply missed.
This type of therapy is more than just fun — it’s medically beneficial for Autumn. It helps with coordination, core strength, motor planning, and regulating her body in ways that traditional therapy can’t. Her therapists immediately saw potential for major gains — but we need help to keep going.
We’ve already applied to several grants and charitable programs, but many of them have long waitlists — sometimes up to six months. Unfortunately, time is not on our side. Autumn is in a crucial window of development, and the sooner we can act, the better her chance of regaining critical abilities and independence.
We’re asking for your help to cover the cost of her ongoing swim therapy sessions until we can hopefully receive outside funding. Our goal of $1,500 will allow us to purchase an $1,100 package of six sessions, and cover the cost of a few additional individual sessions — enough to get Autumn through roughly two months of weekly therapy, as recommended by her therapists.
What we learn during these sessions also helps us support her at home. We’re able to continue many of the techniques in our own pool between visits — giving Autumn more consistency, more confidence, and more chances to grow.
Every donation will go directly to her therapy center and help us make this healing journey possible.
If you can give, share, or even just send a prayer — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your support means the world to our family.
With love and gratitude,
Amanda & Family
