Help Autistic Karishma Fight Breast Cancer

Dear All,

We need your help for our sweet nonverbal autistic Karishma.

Karishma is a warrior and has been a source of light and strength for so many, especially her dad - Narin Ramdular. Karishma is an amazing young lady who has faced the world with grace and grit. At 44 years old, she has the joy of living with her dad as her only caregiver since her mother passed away 6 years ago. After her mother’s passing, Narin quickly realized that services and facilities for special needs people of Karishma’s age group are sadly very limited in Trinidad. So, he brought her to Florida, USA in January 2022, and petitioned USCIS (Immigration) on her behalf. He has received acknowledgement and has even had her biometrics done. However, it is still in pending status as of now. This means that she is unable to get health insurance, and so compounds her current medical diagnosis – breast cancer. This diagnosis has completely changed the course of Narin and Karishma’s lives as Narin tries to balance work and care for his nonverbal autistic daughter during these very difficult and challenging times, adding to her already difficult life.

Karishma recently completed a double mastectomy surgery and is recovering at home. As friends gather around to help, the road ahead is long. This diagnosis and treatment news is very hard on anyone, but it is even more so on a nonverbal autistic individual. Narin’s heart wrenching dilemma is trying to explain to Karishma all the changes that is happening to her body. She looks up to him to help her navigate her life. Narin needs all the help he can get. He is on limited social security income and continues to work to meet their day-to-day expenses as he secures ongoing care and treatment for Karishma. Given the specialized therapies and care that are critical to Karishma's healing, Narin’s priority is to give Karishma the best life possible and with your support, we can help him fight this overwhelming battle and achieve this goal for her.

We the friends of Narin and Karishma, are raising funds to help with the overwhelming burden and cost of battling this dreadful disease that has afflicted our Sweet autistic Karishma, with her treatments, transportation, other medications, and care.
