Wildlife Emergency: Cyclone Alfred Has Devastated Thousands—Help Us Rescue and Treat Survivors!
The Northern Rivers Wildlife Network (NRWN) is an informal alliance of dedicated wildlife rescue groups, rehabilitation service providers, wildlife hospitals, and veterinarians committed to protecting native animals. Nearly all of these organisations are not-for-profit, relying on the generosity of the community to continue saving lives. Those that aren’t put any profit back into helping wildlife.
Tropical Cyclone Alfred has left a path of destruction, putting our wildlife in extreme danger. The storm has devastated ecosystems, leaving countless animals injured, orphaned, and without food or shelter. Our focus has now shifted to urgent search, rescue, and treatment—every moment counts.
Your donation will directly support:
✅ Emergency search and rescue efforts to find and recover surviving animals
✅ Lifesaving veterinary care for injured wildlife
✅ Critical medical supplies to treat wounds and illness
✅ Emergency feeding and housing for displaced animals
✅ Essential equipment to continue urgent response efforts
We are on the ground right now, rescuing and treating animals affected by the cyclone. The situation remains dire, and with your help, we can continue to save lives and give these animals a chance to recover.
Please give what you can to support this critical wildlife response. All funds raised will be received by Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital, which will distribute them responsibly and equitably to all organizations within the NRW network.
