Help Austin Start a New Chapter in Seattle!

September 27th of this year will mark my 30th year around the sun. I decided the best way to celebrate myself and to round out my masters education in clinical mental health counseling was to take full advantage of an opportunity offered to me to begin a new chapter in Seattle.
In March, I was offered a position as a clinical resident at the Shelterwood Collective. Shelterwood Collective has been named the top service provider in the PNW for Mental Health Services and Alternative Therapies by the Seattle Times. You can learn about the collective here. In short, they are doing radical work to ensure the whole person is cared for and to provide accessible means of obtaining therapy services through resource sharing. I feel very grateful to be one of five selected to learn from and join in the collective this year as a resident. I know my experience will only serve to deepen my clinical mind, gain invaluable knowledge about the world of private practice, and pave way for a brighter future for me as I venture into the world of the expressive therapies post graduation next summer.
I am looking for any and all support for my first month in the new city :) I did quite a bit of due diligence. Researching, estimating, and saving for costs. However, this past year I had to spend quite a bit of time in and out of the emergency room and fix some untimely car repairs which ate into my savings. I made the move in spite of these setbacks because I truly believe in the opportunity and all the possibility and open doors. I'd be so eternally grateful for any and all help as I settle into my first month in a new city.
