Help Austin Recover from Brutal Dog Attack

Hi everyone. Earlier today, my sheltie Austin was attacked by an off-leash dog near Armstrong Park while my fiancée was walking him. This attack was unprovoked and rather brutal. Jason was holding Austin in his arms as the dog ripped my poor dog's leg to shreds. We are devastated as the owner ran away without helping or offering any apologies. We do not know where she lives and because of that, animal control and the police cannot do anything to protect others from further attacks.

Austin was rushed into emergency surgery where they had to repair the muscle damage. We are so thankful that he will be able to keep his leg. As everyone knows, emergency vets are extremely expensive so we are asking if you have a few extra dollars to help out with veterinary bills. Those who know Austin know that he loves one thing and that is catching and playing with his ball every day and our hearts are breaking that his favorite activity might never occur again.
