Austin Littlewood is my godson, and I have been raising him and his sibling for the past eight years after they were removed from their home. When Austin was just five years old, his parents signed him and his sister over to me. I was already their nanny, and the kids were comfortable with me, so I stepped up to keep them out of foster care. Their parents are not able to help, and the kids only see them every few months. Despite everything, Austin has always been a joy to have in my life. He is a Christian who loves Jesus Christ, enjoys video games and soccer, and has always been respectful and kind. I wish I could give him the world, because he truly deserves it.

Austin is now trying to raise money for an e-bike so he can get to school and work. His school is six miles from home, and my health condition makes it difficult for me to drive him regularly. Because of this, he misses too much school, and it breaks my heart. Austin wants to work to help with our everyday expenses, since my SSI barely covers the bills and food. He is already raking lawns, mowing, and pressure washing driveways to earn money for himself. Having an e-bike would give him the independence to get to school and work on his own, help him keep up with his education, and support our family.

Austin is a beautiful soul who has overcome so much. He is learning responsibility and good work ethics, and I want to give him every chance to succeed.
