Help Austin Fight Colon Cancer

My name is Chandler Jade and I’m organizing this GoFundMe for someone who has become a very close friend to me,

My friend Austin Connell. Austin is 31 years old, a proud United States Marine Corps veteran, a father, and the owner of a small concrete company that he built from the ground up with hard work, sacrifice, and determination.

Recently, Austin received life-altering news: he was diagnosed with colon cancer. He’s scheduled to undergo major surgery soon in hopes of removing the cancer and saving his life. Depending on the outcome, he may also need to begin chemotherapy.

Austin is a fighter in every sense of the word. He served this country with honor as a Marine, and today, he’s fighting the toughest battle of his life, not just for himself, but for his one year old daughter, Paisley. She is his world, and every breath he takes, every decision he makes, is for her future.

While Austin runs a solid small business, owning your own company means there’s no paid time off, no financial cushion. If he can’t work, the income stops, but the bills don’t. The cost of surgery, hospital stays, and possible treatments is staggering. Even with insurance, the out-of-pocket expenses are more than any one person should have to bear, especially while battling cancer.

Austin has always taken pride in being the one others could count on. He’s the type of man that will shut down a 5 lane highway to help a turtle cross, and he’s never been one to ask for help. But right now, he needs all of us to rally behind him, just like he’s shown up for his country, his family, and his community.
