Help Austin Bacon Heal and Support His Family
Donation protected
Dear Family, friends, and community,
Many of you know my husband, Austin Bacon. Yesterday afternoon, he was involved in a crash a block away from our home. He was not at fault, as someone trying to turn into the ShopRite cut in front of him, causing him to t-bone their passenger front door. He was airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center and underwent surgery last night with 2 broken legs, needing a rod in one leg and a metal plate in the other knee. He is unable to bear weight or bend his knee for a minimum of 4 weeks. He is a Local 472 union worker and will be out of work for a minimum of 6 months and possibly indefinitely. He became the sole provider for our family when I was laid off last year, as I needed to be home with our 10-month-old. We have 2 small children, a 9-year-old and an 18-month-old. We are humbly asking for any help that anyone is able to give, even if all you are able to offer is prayer. We thank God he is alive and has both of his legs, but we have a long, hard road of recovery ahead of us. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to me and has offered us help already; we truly feel the love of our family, friends, and community during this extremely difficult time.
"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us." Romans 8:18
