On Friday night, September 5th, my nephew Austin and his wife Lexi’s lives were forever changed. While crossing a crosswalk after pressing the lights and waiting for traffic, Lexi was struck by a speeding driver. The impact threw her into the opposite lanes, where she was tragically run over by a second vehicle that fled the scene.

Lexi was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. She has already endured multiple surgeries, including major pelvic reconstruction, repair of severe lacerations, and stabilization with metal braces. Her recovery has been incredibly painful — she still cannot walk, requires around-the-clock care, and faces additional surgeries, including reconstruction of her knee.

Despite everything, Lexi is fighting hard. But the road ahead is long and overwhelming. She remains unable to perform basic needs on her own, and Austin is doing everything he can to be by her side.

We are raising funds to help cover:

   •   Medical bills from ICU and surgeries

   •   Ongoing rehabilitation and future procedures

   •   Living expenses and car repairs so Austin can continue to support Lexi and get to the hospital
