Hi! My name is Austeja, and I’ve been accepted to study at Brighton University - but because of Brexit, the cost of making this dream happen has become overwhelming.

I’ve spent years working in live music, sound, and creative production, and this course brings everything I love together. It’s a huge step toward building the future I’ve always wanted - working in music from every angle, living creatively and independently, and finally being with the love of my life in the same country. We’re getting married soon, but without this, we can’t build our life in the UK.

Since Brexit, EU students like me are treated as international applicants — which means I need to pay a £5,000 deposit, plus visa and health fees, and show over £10,000 in savings just to get permission to study. I’m working hard, applying for scholarships, and planning to work part-time once I’m there - but I can’t do this alone.
