It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share this difficult update about our beloved mom, Aurora Simpson. On December 29, 2025, Mom suffered a cardiac arrest and serious breathing complications. Despite the tireless efforts of the medical team, her condition has not improved. Following the compassionate guidance of her doctors, we have made the heartbreaking decision to remove her from the ventilator so she can pass peacefully and with the dignity she has always carried through life. We are now facing one of the hardest moments imaginable—saying goodbye and planning her farewell. We want nothing more than to be by her side, surrounding her with love, and ensuring she has a peaceful, respectful send-off that reflects the incredible woman she was.


Mom—our Aurora—was a loving mother, devoted daughter, cherished grandmother, and a true friend to so many. Her bright smile, her loud and joyful presence, and her never-ending energy lit up every room she entered. She poured love into everyone around her, and her spirit will live on in all the lives she touched. We will miss her every single day.


The unexpected costs of her cremation, funeral arrangements, memorial service, and related expenses have added a heavy financial burden during this already devastating time. In Massachusetts, these costs can range from several thousand dollars for a simple cremation to much more with a gathering to celebrate her life. Any contribution—no matter the size—will help us cover these expenses so we can focus on grieving, remembering, and supporting one another as a family.
