Help Aurora Seek Justice for Malpractice and cancer journey

My name is Jade, and I am Aurora Gutierrez's daughter. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and type 3 nuclear cells. The cancer tumor was taken out, but the nuclear cells were treated with chemo. The chemo caused my mother's liver enzymes to get high, which led the doctors to ask for a liver biopsy. My mother recently had a Liver biopsy done at RUSH University Medical Hospital. First, we were told it would be done on the abdomen area, but they proceeded to do it on the neck area, causing a punctured liver that busted an artery behind the liver. When coming out of the OR, she was fine for about 20 minutes when an excruciating pain started on the procedure.

When I told the staff my mother was in severe pain, I was told she had to wait due to low staff that evening. A nurse then came in approximately 30 minutes later, stating he had to read over her chart; meanwhile, my mother was throwing up, twisting & turning, and yelling in pain. While he steps out, not saying a word, a different nurse comes in to take her vitals. She notices my mother's yellowish-green skin tone and immediately reaches out to rapid response and a nearby doctor. My mother was then taken to the OR to find the problem. Later that evening, we were told that she had bleeding in the liver, that it was expected due to the procedure, and that she would be in the ICU for a couple of days just for supervision. My mother lasted two days in the ICU and was taken to the general floor once again for supervision for two days. When discharged without signing discharge documentation, she also still had pain where the procedure was done. When she got home around 5:20 pm (July 20), we had to call the ambulance right away due to the amount of pain she was in. She was on her way to the nearest hospital at 5:30 pm (July 20). She arrived at the Community First Medical Center, and the doctor immediately noticed she was internally bleeding. The doctor then had us reach out to RUSH to see if we could get her transferred there since it was where the biopsy was done. After the doctor told RUSH Transfer that she was patient, they said they would possibly have a bed for her around 11 pm.

Meanwhile, all this was going on. The doctor gave my mom four bags of blood. The doctor then started calling different trauma hospitals and was able to transfer her to Masonic Illinois Medical Center, where Dr.Flores and his team took her into surgery immediately. The doctor said her stomach was holding 5 Liters of blood on its own, which is what your entire body holds. In the process of this, my mom was taken into surgery that caused them to make an incision starting from under her breast, curved at the belly button, and finished at the bottom of her stomach. To find where the bleeding was coming from, she went into surgery five times. one of the last times being the sixth time. In surgery, the doctor and his team mentioned the flip of the liver to find an artery that was punctured and two holes in the liver. The final surgery was to wash out her organs and close up the stomach. In the process, my mom died on the medical table once, and they were able to bring her back due to so much blood she lost. She was intubated during the procedure for three days. After sleepless nights and traumatic moments, we were told that she had a transfusion total of 60 bags of blood. Throughout this traumatic experience, my family and I would like to seek justice for the malpractice that has been done to our mother. We are asking for help finding the proper lawyer to help seek justice. Any help will be very appreciated. Thank you <3
